Chapter 14 Emily Johnson
They were all anxious, and a few were even so anxious that they cried.
Seeing Claudia standing here, one of them rushed over and asked, “Miss, have you seen a woman in a red dress, around forty or fifty years old?”
The one who asked was a little girl. Her eyes were red, and there was some trembling on her shoulders. She was worried and also scared.
Claudia shook her head.
The little girl cried again and looked elsewhere.
Claudia remembered reading gossip somewhere that the mother of several children of the Friedan family, Emily Johnson, had me ntal problems since her daughter went missing and needed a lot of care and attention, so it was true.
Actually, Emily was a miserable woman.
The greatest pain in the world was the pain of losing a child. Emily wanted a daughter so badly. She had three sons before she had a daughter, but before Emily could raise her daughter, she disappeared.
Claudia’s heart was a little stuffy at the thought.
She thought, “I hope nothing happens to this daughter-loving Emily.”
In the hospital, Edmond woke up.
Rosalie, who had been standing by, choked with joy when she saw him wake up, “Edmond, you’re awake!”

Edmond opened his mouth and asked, “How is she?”
“Who?” Rosalie was confused.
“Claudia.”
Rosalie pretended to come to her senses and say, “She’s fine, and she insisted on getting out of the hospital. It seems she went to meet the elders of the Friedan family.”
Edmond pursed his lips as the words came out.
Rosalie watched his expression carefully.
She was told by her best friend who attended the party at the Friedan family that Claudia also went to the party.
Rosalie said that on purpose.
“Edmond, if she insists on being with Waldron, we should give her our blessing.”
Blessings…
Edmond sneered, anger brewing in his heart.
He could give his blessing, but not to Claudia and Waldron.
Seeing that he was angry, Rosalie hastened to hold his hand affectionately. “Cicely said she wanted to see us married early, on a date early next month. Edmond, will you marry me?”
Rosalie was apprehensive and expectant.
Edmond promised to take good care of her before, and now that he had divorced, and Cicely agreed, it was time for them to get married.
At her expectant glance, however, Edmond drew his hand away.
“Edmond.” Rosalie grabbed her coat nervously. “Don’t you want Cicely to be happy? Cicely would love to see me married to you.”
“So does she want you to marry Edmond or Tristen?”
Rosalie froze, and in an instant, her face went from pale to red, from red to livid.
“When we have a wedding, do people call me Tristen or Edmond? Aren’t you afraid of getting exposed at the wedding?”
A low voice emanated from his throat, the tone of his voice playful and the sarcasm in his eyes.
Rosalie had long thought about this and smiled sweetly, “We don’t need to have a big wedding, and we’ll just invite a few familiar people then. As long as everything is arranged, Cicely won’t notice any of this.”
Edmond’s gaze deepened, a sneer in his low voice. “Mom thinks of me as my brother now. Are you going to think of me as him too?”
“No, Edmond, I…” Rosalie panicked and stood up. “You know, it’s always been you I’ve liked all these years, so how could I ever think of you as Tristen?”
“Let’s put this matter on hold.” Edmond’s eyelashes lowered, his eyes landing on his cell phone, and he unconsciously stepped off the bed.

“Edmond, don’t come down. The doctor said you still need to recuperate.” Rosalie stopped him in a panic, tears filling her eyes.
Edmond pursed his lips as his eyes landed on his legs and couldn’t help but think of the scene where Claudia rushed into the fire to save him.

Claudia was deliberately taking it out on him with those words, wasn’t
she?
A warmth flooded through his heart as he touched the spot where Claudia had touched him.
Seeing him struggle to get up, Rosalie cried, large tears sliding down her face.
She cried and hugged Edmond. “Are you going to see her?”
“Edmond, she’s going to see Waldron! Can’t you just stand by and do nothing?”
Stand by…
His spine tensed, and he clenched his fists.
He could spare Claudia and bless her, but he couldn’t watch her ruin her life.
The moment Claudia-rushed into the fire and saved him, he couldn’t stand by anymore.
With Waldron leading the way, Claudia followed him to the cottage on the property.
For once, she was not “Mrs. Lamont”, just Claudia.
“I’ll show you my family later.”
Claudia thought, “Family…
There’s something strange about how that sounds.”
She didn’t think much of it, just handed him the handbag in her hand.
“This is a birthday present for your dad.”
Waldron picked up the bag and looked inside. It was tightly wrapped. so he couldn’t see what it was.
Waldron raised his eyebrows and smiled, “I’ll get them. You’ll give it to him yourself later.”
After saying that, he ran away. His footsteps were brisk, and he was a bit impatient.
Instead, she tensed as she waited.
The Friedan family was the richest family in the city. Their assets were among the highest in the country.
She hadn’t expected Waldron to be so welcoming as to introduce his family to her.
Who was she? She was just a small designer, so how could she let the Friedan family’s elders come to see her?
The more Claudia thought about it, the ruder it seemed. She stood up to go after Waldron and ran into someone head-on.
“Ugh!”
The woman was wearing a long purple dress, and because she was walking fast, she didn’t see Claudia.
The wine spilled, and the girl in the long purple dress first sized up Claudia a few times. She hadn’t seen Claudia before.
She attended all kinds of banquets from time to time and had seen all kinds of rich young ladies, and there were not many she did not know.
Seeing Claudia’s good-looking but unfamiliar face, she instantly

judged that Claudia wouldn’t have a big background. Maybe Claudia was just an internet celebrity.
“This lady, you ruined my dress.” She pointed to a certain part of her waist, her voice shrill. “Remember to pay me when the banquet is over. It’s Haute Couture, only 50 thousand dollars or so.”
Claudia shot a glance at her dress. Coincidentally, Claudia also had one, but it wasn’t Haute Couture, but a regular dress from a certain brand from two years ago. When it came out new, it was only 4 thousand dollars, but now she asked Claudia for 50 thousand dollars!
Just now, it was clear that she bumped into Claudia.
Claudia smiled, looking gorgeous.
“This young lady, if I remember correctly, you just bumped into me yourself, didn’t you?”
“I bumped into you myself? Are you blind?” The girl in purple suddenly stormed out, splashing the rest of the wine in her glass onto Claudia’s dress. “If you can’t afford to pay for it, enjoy this glass of red wine with me.”
Claudia’s waist was wrapped tightly in a red dress that curved just right.
The red wine splashed onto her body like a dark flower that bloomed around her waist.
Chapter 15 So What?
Many people were attracted by the noise, and they gathered around.
“What a pity. Gilda, your clothes are destroyed.”
A sharp voice sounded. It was a girl who held a circular fan in her hand. Her name was Anna. Anna behaved as if she hadn’t seen Claudia. She was just staring at the purple-clothed girl.
Gilda saw that Claudia’s dress was also stained with red wine. She smiled, and she put the wine glass aside. Gilda said, “She can’t afford to compensate for my clothes. So, I can only do the ti t for tat.”
Hearing this, Anna then looked at Claudia. She noticed what Claudia was wearing. She said, “Her clothes…”
“What’s wrong with her clothes? Could it be more expensive than mine?” Gilda snorted.and said. She was a relative of the Friedan family. Because of this, many people respected her. If someone destroyed her clothes, she would ask for whatever amount of money she wanted and the one wouldn’t refuse. It was the first time that Gilda was refused to be compensated today.
She thought, “She is just an online celebrity. She can’t do anything to take revenge on me although I bullied her.”
Anna kept silent. She didn’t tell the truth that Claudia’s clothes were more expensive than Gilda’s.
Gilda touched her nails. Seeing Claudia walk away, she thought that Claudia was afraid and left. Gilda was about to say something to mock Claudia. However, Claudia walked to her again.
This time, Claudia held a glass of wine in her hand.
Under everyone’s gaze, Claudia spilled wine onto Gilda’s clothes.
Small wine stains became large stains.
Claudia looked at Gilda coldly.
Then, she said, “Ms. Friedan, you are right. If you can’t afford it, I should do tit for tat. My clothes are much more expensive than yours.”
Gilda was stunned.
And the others present were all shocked.
Anna was surprised. She said, “Miss, do you know who she is? Her last name is Friedan.”
Here, people surnamed Friedan were related to Thomas. The Friedan family was very powerful.
However, Claudia poured a glass of wine on Gilda.
Particularly, it was at the Friedan’s place.
“Her last name is Friedan. So what?” Claudia wasn’t afraid at all. “There are so many people surnamed Friedan in the world. Does everyone surnamed Friedan pour wine on others and blackmail people?”
Hearing this, Gilda became angry and shouted, “When did I blackmail you?”
Claudia smiled mockingly and said, “You said that your clothes are haute couture and worth 50 thousand dollars.”
Claudia looked around with a smile and saw that the people around
