Winnie halted subconsciously and started to back away from the bathroom.

As Josiah‘s voice rang out from the other end of the line, the sound of rushing water stopped.

As it turned out, Xavier had already dialed Josiah‘s number before entering the bathroom. It was just that the call was only picked up then.
