Chapter 17 You Don’t Wanna Divorce?
Edmond’s appearance shocked Claudia for some moment.
She didn’t expect that Edmond could get out of the hospital so fast. She had believed that he would stay in hospital for longer days.
Edmond’s sight fell on Waldron’s hand which held hers. Without thinking, Claudia swayed away Waldron’s hand.
Waldron caught clear sight of the rage in Edmond’s eyes. Waldron slowly curved the corner of his lips. “Mr. Lamont, aren’t you sick? Why are you here?”
Edmond didn’t look at Waldron. Instead, Edmond paced quickly to Claudia and asked, “The doctor told me that you didn’t finish your body check before you went out, did you?”
“Well, I’m fine.”
Claudia thought her heart more hurt than her health.
She felt surprised about Edmond’s appearance, wondering whether he was here to take her back to the hospital for the body check.
However, Claudia’s answer didn’t get Edmond reassured.
“I’ll bring you back to the hospital. You must finish your body check today.”
Edmond’s voice was down and determined. It seemed that he would not allow anyone to deny him.
Claudia stayed silent for a while before speaking to Waldron, “I’ll go
back. May you take the things back? I’ll come to you next time.”
After thinking of something, she added, “Mr. Friedan’s gift is in the dressing room. Please give it to him. Thanks.”
Edmond tightened his lips, his eyes narrowed.
“No wonder Rosalie said that Waldron is taking Claudia to visit his parents. They should be,” Edmond thought.
It just happened that Edmond’s appearance disturbed it all. Claudia and Waldron didn’t have the time to finish their plan.
Thinking that Claudia would truly marry Waldron, Edmond felt a headache.
In that instant, the air around Edmond froze. Waldron felt it and cast a casual look at Edmond.
Waldron thought, “Claudia listens to this man so much. Is it that she still loves him?
The man that h ooks up two women at the same time does not deserve her love at all.”
Waldron laughed and said ironically, “My family doctor is better than the doctor working in the hospital. I’ll ask him over and give a body check for you.”
“Thank you, but no need.” Edmond walked over and held Claudia’s shoulder, saying, “It’s almost the day. She needs rest. It’s your father’s birthday today. I already prepared a gift for him. My driver will send it to you. But I have something to do so I can’t go this time. I’ll visit him the next time.”
“Let’s go.”
Claudia felt her shoulder burning in his hug.
“Wait.” Waldron didn’t let them go. “I need to give you the reply.”
Claudia knew what he meant. Waldron wanted to tell him something about Gilda.
Feeling the insulting eyes from all around, Claudia instantly said, “Just a trivial thing. No need to tell me that.”
It was totally a personal grudge between her and Gilda, so she didn’t need any reply from the Friedan family.
However, Waldron insisted on compensating her and didn’t let her go.
Claudia saw the sweat on Edmond’s forehead and knew that he could not stay here anymore.

He burdened the harm from the burned crystal lamp, so he must have hurt a lot.
“Waldron, I have to go back now.”
She nearly ran away.
Seeing it, Waldron didn’t insist.
After the result came out, everything would be settled down.
Now he didn’t have the qualification to leave her here.
If the result proved that Claudia was truly his sister, the first thing that Waldron would do was beat Edmond up.

After they walked out of the gate, they felt the noise and glory leaving
behind their head.
In the night breeze, Claudia and Edmond could only feel each other.
It was embarrassing.
Before Edmond said something, Claudia whispered, “Let’s go back to the hospital.”
This time, Edmond nodded and walked over. Seeing Edmond’s car beside the road, Claudia pulled open the car door.
There was a person sitting at the back.
“Edmond…”
Claudia’s expression froze on her face.
“Why are you here?” Edmond didn’t expect Rosalie to be here.
“I’m worried about you,” Rosalie answered softly and gently.
Claudia smiled and closed the door as if she didn’t care about it at all. “I’ll go back by myself.”
“Ms. Lloyd, please come with us.” Rosalie invited Claudia.
“Don’t you feel embarrassed if we sit together?”
Rosalie didn’t expect Claudia to be so straightforward. An embarrassed smile froze on her face.
Claudia turned around.
Afraid that the two women would fight, Edmond didn’t force Claudia to get in the car.

Claudia walked to the side and saw that the car was gone. An ironic smile appeared on her lips.
Sure enough, only his first love counted.
At the moment Claudia showed the ironic smile, Edmond’s voice sounded from the side. “Why are you laughing?”
Claudia turned her head in surprise. “You didn’t go?”
“I’m here to pick you up. Of course I should go with you.” Edmond looked in the direction that his car left and squeezed his eyes.
The driver sent Rosalie away.
“You have the car. Why are you walking back on your own?” Claudia had mixed feelings. She said this while looking around, only to find that the party was ongoing. There were few people around, and only the bodyguards were patrolling.
It was a bit far from the gate, so they would spend a lot of time walking
out.
Perhaps the heavens were blessing her and helping her. Claudia saw an electrical motor bicycle under the tree.
It was the urban shared bicycle.
“Can you ride that?” Claudia pointed at the bicycle.
Edmond squeezed his eyes. He had never ridden such bikes before, but it should be easy. Edmond nodded.
“Alright. Let’s ride this.” Claudia walked over and turned on the bicycle, signaling Edmond to ride this.
With hesitation, Edmond walked over and took the bicycle.

Claudia felt lucky. It was a bicycle for two people. She sat on the back seat and tugged his shirt, voice joyful. “Let’s go.”
One second. Two seconds.
Half a minute passed, and the bicycle still stayed paused.
“What?” Claudia widened her eyes and said, “Edmond, you can’t ride this?”
Edmond froze.
Well, he couldn’t.
The bike seemed small, but there were too many buttons.
Let it go. Leave it to me.”
