“Emerald?” Caroline thought.
Caroline recalled that she did not carry the emerald with her. It was left at the Sullivan residence.
“Grandma, the emerald is at the Sullivan residence. I’ll go and get it right away.
Nora closed her eyes and said weakly, “Okay, Carol, remember to get it. You cannot lose the emerald. I’ll sleep for a while.”
