Chapter 31

Chapter 31.

Nelly’s POV.

Aisha and I huddled together in the shadows, trying to stifle our laughter as we watched her body turn a bright shade of red. We held our breath, the tension in the air palpable as we waited for the inevitable.

Suddenly, her eyes darted in our direction, and we knew we’d been caught. I felt a rush of satisfaction, knowing we had gotten away with our prank. But that satisfaction was short–lived, as I saw the fury in her eyes. I knew we were in for it now.

Aisha grabbed me by the collar and dragged me out of our hiding place. We both stood before her, our hearts racing.

“How dare you!” she said, her voice strangled with anger.

I couldn’t help but burst out laughing, the absurdity of the situation hitting me like a ton of bricks.

“You can’t even talk!” I teased, my laughter echoing through the room. Emily rolled her eyes and took a deep breath, drinking some water to calm herself down.

I crossed my arms, trying to appear confident in the face of her anger.

“This is just a taste of your medicine,” I said, my voice firm. “I can play this game too.”

“How dare you,” she roared at me.

“Shh!” I hissed, my voice low and threatening. I held my ground, refusing to be intimidated. “Don’t you dare raise your voice at me,” I said, trying to sound in control.

She rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed by my bravado. “Who the hell do you think you are?” she barked, her voice echoing through the room.

“I am the lady you wish you could be. I am the lady you crave to be, to have what I have,” I said, my words cutting through the air like a knife.

“Over my dead body would I ever wish to be like you.” she said, her voice shaking with anger? “You are nothing but a slut.”

Aisha’s expression was one of pure rage, and I could see her hands trembling at her sides. She took a step towards Emily, But before she could reach me, I stepped in front of her, blocking her path.

“Calm down,” I whispered to Aisha, hoping to de–escalate the situation. But it was too
