Wesley clearly knew the reason, but he didn’t disclose the reason to Trevor. It was a deliberate move. He wanted to find out what Trevor thought of his ex-wife, Emma.
After the words came out of Wesley’s mouth, Trevor’s gaze darkened slightly when he looked at Wesley.
Wesley was Emma’s employer.
If Emma was unable to make it to such an important meeting, she would definitely have to provide a reasonable explanation to her employer.
It was impossible for him to be unaware of the reason.
Nevertheless, he was intentionally withholding the information from Trevor.
What was he trying to achieve? Women were not the only ones with a sixth sense.
Men had it too, Trevor had the feeling that Wesley’s intentions toward Emma were not that simple.
Wesley was a pivotal figure in the entertainment circle.
He first debuted as a singer when he was younger and later became an actor instead.
From dramas to movies, he climbed upward and eventually reached the peak.
He was extremely popular and received so many awards that his fingers went limp from holding them.
Over the past few years, he slowly began to retire and established Alpha Productions with some friends to begin working behind the scenesinstead.
He had openly been in a stable relationship with his girlfriend when he was younger.
Unfortunately, they split up due to their respective incompatibilities.
There were several scandals within the circle over the years, but he was currently single.
There’s a handsome young man who just turned (wenty standing at the front of the line and a forty-year-old award-winning actor standing at the back ofthe line.
Thirty-two-year-old Trevor clenched his jaw and said nothing.
Hmph! Isn’t she quite capable? Trevor remained in a terrible mood throughout the meeting.
On the other hand, Wesley nonchalantly presented his report as though nothing had happened.
Trevor never imagined that he would be so absorbed by the rough draft of the script compiled by Emma despite his agitated emotions.
To be honest, prior to coming to the meeting, he had been looking forward to what Emma’s rough draft of the script would be like.
It was just that he never expected the outcome to be so amazing.
But, now…
he listened to Wesley’s narration attentively, completely immersed in the plot.
He even had the urge to execute the script immediately and shoot the drama on the spot.
With his years of experience in the industry and his judgment toward the drama projects in recent years, he was certain that this drama would become a huge hit.
Wesley was right.
Emma’s words could really tug on the people’s heartstrings.
Her con position was also majestic and witty indecd.
It was completely different from the lackluster woman that Trevor knew from before…
– Trevor immediately went to Wesley’s office after the meeting, completely forgetting that he had brought Crystal alongwith him today.
Thus, Crystal was forgotten by Trevor and left alone in the meeting room.
Although she was smiling on the surface, she was gritting her teeth in anger inside her heart.
As soon as Trevor entered Wesley’s office, he immediately asked in a straightforward manner, “What happenedto her?” Wesley leisurely poured himself a glass of water and avoided Trevor’s question.
“I thought you came here to discuss the script with me, Mr.
Bateson.” Trevor had no patience left at this point, so he simply got straight to the point.
Narrowing his eyes, he asked, “Wesley Zurich, what are your intentions?”
