Chapter 8 Is He Still A Man?
Maddy smiled and stood up. “Let’s watch your television.”
When she reached downstairs, Maddy went to the pharmacy to buy some stuff and walked to the supermarket next door.
After buying the things Cassie wanted one by one, she looked at the few rows of sanitary pads in front of her and suddenly
remembered that she hadn’t been period for almost two months.
Ever since she had a miscarriage three years ago, her period had always been irregular. They often come only once every two or three
months.
“But it should be soon, right?”
In case, Maddy took a few more packets.
After paying the bill, she was about to leave when a woman entered the door. She bumped into her shoulder and smashed the
shopping bag in her hand to the ground. She even patted her own clotlies and said in disgust, “You don’t have eyes?”
Maddy raised her head to look at her. Her eyes became colder, “Have you not learned how to walk for so long?”
Cecil’s gaze swept over her. “It’s you. Why are you here at this hour? Could it be that you’re out to meet a man while my cousin isn’t
around?”
Maddy couldn’t be bothered to listen to her. She bent down and picked up the shopping bag on the ground. She said indifferently,
“Cecil, since you went abroad, you shouldn’t have returned. You probably don’t know that I’m not only a wicked person, but I will also
take my revenge.”
Cecil’s expression changed slightly upon hearing this. She couldn’t help but take a few steps backward. “What do you want to do?”
Maddy raised her eyebrows, “It’s nothing, but you’d better not have a child in this lifetime, otherwise you might need to be careful of
me at all times. Maybe when I want to seek revenge with you, I’ll approach you without any means, and…”

Maddy glanced at ber as if nothing had happened.
Even though Celeste was far away from getting pregnant, she was still frightened by her gaze. “You’re crazy. Only you know whether
or not you’re pregnant. Don’t think that you can pin that on me just because I bumped into you. Besides, you dare to touch me! My family
won’t let you off! And… my cousin will definitely divorce you and chase you out of the family. Don’t even think of getting anything!”
“Then let’s try. I won’t lose anyway.”
“Are you crazy?”
After Cecil cursed again, she turned around and strode away. Her back was filled with guilt and nervousness.
After leaving the supermarket, Cecil pulled on the Land Rover parked by the street with a grimace.
“Weren’t you going to buy some water?”
Cecil seemed to be waiting for him to say something and complained, “Brother Terrence, do you still remember what I said to you
before? The woman who faked her pregnancy and forced my cousin to marry her? I actually ran into her here. It’s so disgusting.”
Terrence merely said, “If you don’t want to buy water, then we’re leaving.”
“Terrence, you…”
Halfway through Cecil’s sentence, she noticed that Terrence’s gaze was fixed on the other side of the car. She glanced over, but she
didn’t see anything Just when she was about to ask him what happened, Terrence suddenly opened the car door and ran out
Cecil caught sight of this and hurriedly followed him out. Turning to Terrence, who seemed to be looking for something in the crowd,
she asked, “Terrence, what’s wrong? What are you looking for?”
Terrence slowly recollected his thoughts and lowered his eyes. “It’s nothing. I think I’ve got the wrong person.”
Jbust now, he saw a back view that resembled the person lie thought of every day.
“Let’s go,” Cecil said.
Terrence pulled his hand out of her arms. “Cecil, let me get you a cab. I have other things to do, so I won’t send you home.”
“But you promised me…”
Terrence ignored her and took out his phone to call the car. “I’ll send the license plate number to your phone. I’ll take my leave now.”
After saying that, he ignored Cecil’s shout and strode away.
After returning home, Maddy placed the things she bought into the refrigerator one by one. Then, she poured a glass of brown sugar
water for Cassie, who was half-dead on the sofa.
Cassie took the cup, her eyebrows twitching in excitement. She shook her phone and asked, “Guess who friended me just now?”
” Leonardo DiCaprio or Tom Middleton?”
“It’s serious.” Cassie placed the phone in front of Maddy. There were only two lines on it, making it clear.
“I am Terrence.”
“Do you have any news about Maddy?”
Maddy looked at the two messages and was stunned for a long time until her phone was locked.
After a while, Cassie said, “Terence has returned to the country. He’s looking for you everywhere. I don’t know who gave him my
contact. Tsk, do you want to tell him that you’re living with me now? Or do you want me to give him your number?”
