Maxim’s eyes flashed with anticipation, and yet disappointment replaced the expression when he saw the caller ID flickering on the screen.

It was Kiley. The second he picked the phone up, he heard her voice with a smile. She said, “Maxim, my grandpa’s birthday is coming up, and my parents put me in charge of delivering invitations.
