Alyssa was surprised. It took her a long time to resister what was happening. She looked at the bodyguard for some minutes, wondering if she was dreaming.

So did Emmett finally want to see her?

A part of her was happy because she was finally going to see her husband. But the part of her felt an indescribable uneasiness.

It was rumored that Emmett was extremely fickle and cold. If she met him, could she be able to control him? Or could she be able to live a normal life with him?

Lots of questions were wondering in her head, as she knocked on the door of the study.

She stepped into the study and before she could observe the situation inside, she heard a voice of a man.

“Frank, who is it?”

The voice was very hoarse just like a desert which had gone years without water. It was quite terrifying.

As the voice fade, a suited man standing beside the table stared at her and said, “Master, it’s Madame, your wife.”

It was only then Alyssa observed the situation inside the room. The room was black and white, low key but luxurious. There was nothing too special in but one couldn’t avoid its charm.

And on the chair behind the big desk, a strong man was sitting with his back to her.

She could see the man’s head protruding from the chair and his arms resting on the armrest. But no matter how much she tried, she could not take a glance on the man’s face.

But she could see, it was a large man.
