When I entered Alpha Edward’s packhouse Lily was just leaving, I could feel Santos was excited to see her again.

“Say something nice or apologize. Or maybe be rude like last time and we will see the fire in her eyes again,” Santos said.

Alpha Edward and I continued to his office where we spoke for a bit and then headed to dinner. I didn’t take Beta Riker with me this time, he had other obligations. The rogue attacks were more frequent now and I needed someone to keep an eye on our border security.

Not only did he have great connections to other packs, it turned out Alpha Edward had a lot of fertile land that was not being used yet. With my help he could set up some farms there, I had a couple of farmers that wouldn’t mind moving up here for the right reasons. They’ve been complaining about our climate, the Iron River pack was known for its warm temperatures. But Alpha Edward’s Moon Stone pack actually has seasons. It even snowed here during the winter.
