“I want to go inside to mama!” I heard Ashton snapping at Katherine the garden.

My wife kept her eyes on him, trying her best to control what she was feeling as she knew not to say something wrong to my son. She knew that ONE wrong word could be leading to consequences that she didn’t want to deal with right now, and I knew that she would be playing smart, especially after what just happened upstairs.

She didn’t say a word, but her son, being bonded to her, sensed her coming and his eyes lit up before he ran toward her.
